Before you start, please read this
Who is asking This research belongs to the researcher. the researcher uses UNFLD to talk with you. the researcher is responsible for your data. UNFLD handles it as the researcher instructs, and uses it for itself only to check and improve the AI interviewer, as set out below.
You will talk with an AI The interviewer is an AI, not a person. Nobody listens while you talk.
Age This research is for people aged 20 or over.
What it's for So the researcher can understand the topic and make a decision. An AI summarises what everyone said into a report for the researcher, quoting people's words. UNFLD may read or listen to this conversation afterwards, and use software to check it, to see whether the AI interviewed well and to improve the AI interviewer. This use involves no publishing and no selling, and sends nothing to anyone to train AI models. If you'd rather we didn't use it this way, write to privacy@unfld.ai.
What we keep - The first name you type, so the AI can call you by it - Your voice, and the text transcribed from it - Which steps of this page you reached, and the kind of phone or browser you used. No name is attached - This research doesn't set out to ask about your health, religion, politics or similar private matters. If you choose to talk about them, you agree to them being kept with this conversation. If you'd rather not, skip them, or ask us to delete them later
What the researcher sees - the researcher can read what you said, but not your name, and cannot hear your voice - Your words may be quoted to the people the researcher shares the findings with, without your name or your voice - We remove only the name you typed. If you mention things that identify you, like your workplace or someone else's name, those stay in what the researcher reads. If you'd rather not be recognised, skip those details
Your data leaves Thailand During the conversation, your voice and words are sent to AI providers in the United States and possibly other countries (Google, Anthropic and OpenAI). These countries may not have data protection standards adequate under Thai law. What we store is kept on servers in Bangkok. Pressing the button to start is your consent to sending your data to these countries. If you don't agree, don't press it, and your voice won't be recorded.
How long we keep it - Your voice and what you said: 1 year from the day you talked, then deleted. Backups expire within the same time - Words quoted in the researcher's report carry no name or voice, and stay in the report until the researcher closes their account or you ask us to take them out - The AI providers may keep a copy for up to 60 days before deleting it, even after we delete ours. If a provider's systems flag a policy breach, or the law requires it, they may keep it longer
You can stop at any time Tap "End interview" at any time. What you said so far is kept; to have it deleted, write to privacy@unfld.ai (see the next section).
Your rights You can ask to see, copy, correct or delete your data, ask us to stop using it, or withdraw your consent. Write to privacy@unfld.ai with the reference shown at the end, or the research name and when you talked. We pass it to the researcher and help them act on it. Once deleted, your data leaves our working systems, and backups expire by themselves within 1 year. If you think your data has been misused, you can complain to the Personal Data Protection Committee (PDPC).
